Vipal Rubber participates in event targeted at school transportation
On June 17, Vipal Rubber participated in the NCPT (North Carolina Pupil Transportation) – an event targeted at school transportation, held in Asheville, North Carolina. The meeting gathered public managers, fleet operators, manufacturers, vendors and specialists connected to school bus operation and safety in pupil transportation.
During the event, Vipal presented tire retreading as a solution that contributes to safer operations, in addition to reducing costs and collaborating to more sustainable practices in the segment. “School transportation is an operation where safety and predictability are not negotiable. Participating in a meeting such as NCPT allows us to be closer to the needs of this ecosystem and stress how efficient tire management can contribute to safer, economically sustainable operations aligned with the current mobility needs,” highlighted Leonardo Oliveira, Commercial Manager of Vipal for the United States, Canada and Caribbean.
The participation also endorses the progress of the company’s Made in USA strategy, which has expanded the local production at its plant in Madison, Tennessee. Currently, 59% of the treads sold by Vipal Rubber in the United States are produced locally – a number expected to increase in the coming months, boosted by continuous investments in production, local structure and portfolio expansion. Currently, the company has the most complete line in the segment, gathering different technologies, and proven performance for different applications.
Global leadership with local operation
With presence in over 90 countries and operations in five continents, Vipal Rubber is one of the main global manufacturers of rubber for tire retreading. Currently, the United States are the main market for the tire retreading segment, followed by Brazil and Europe, reinforcing the strategic relevance of the region.
